Step 1. Create your builder profile

Go to the Spark hackathon platform. Connect your wallet and your X account. Fill in your profile: skills, past projects, GitHub, social links. This profile is public and persists across all hackathons.

Step 2. Browse open hackathons

Each listing shows: the project brief, the total prize pool, the timeline, the jury composition, and the required deliverables.

Step 3. Submit your application

For each hackathon you want to enter, submit a short application with: your team composition (solo or team), your approach to the project, your technical stack, and links to relevant past work: POC, MVP, early traction, anything that shows you can ship.

There is no limit on team size. Solo builders and large teams are both welcome. Keep in mind that your team size will affect your budget — a larger team means higher costs, which the jury will weigh against your deliverables.

Step 4. Wait for shortlisting

Spark reviews all applications and selects up to 5 finalists. This limit exists because the decision market on Combinator.trade supports a maximum of 5 builder proposals plus one "no winner" option. Criteria are public (see Page 6). Selected builders are notified and invited to the builder Telegram channel. All applicants receive a response within 24 hours of the deadline.
