If you win Phase 1

• Milestone-based payments in USDG from the project treasury (as defined in your proposal / milestone)
• Builder leaderboard listing with your results (Tech category)
• Your code and IP are transferred to the project

If you win Phase 2

• Milestone-based payments in USDG from the project treasury (as defined in your proposal)
• Builder leaderboard listing with your results (Growth category)

After the hackathon — The merged team

The Phase 1 winner and the Phase 2 winner are expected to join forces and continue the project together. The tech builder and the growth builder become co-leads of the project, with the community and treasury behind them.

(The governance structure of the merged team and the process for resolving disagreements between co-leads are currently being designed.)

If you do not win

• Your code remains yours. Only the winner transfers IP to the project.
• Your participation and results are recorded on your profile
• Strong execution builds your leaderboard history regardless of ranking
• You stay in the Spark builder community for future hackathons
• You are not compensated for your work. This is a competition — only winners are paid.
