Every idea on Spark goes through a community raise. Here's how it works.

The basics

• Each idea has a minimum cap (the raise must hit this to launch) and a hard cap (the maximum)
• If the minimum cap isn't reached, everyone is refunded. No token is created.
• If the raise stays between the minimum and the hard cap, every investor keeps their full allocation. Simple.

What happens if a raise is oversubscribed?

If demand exceeds the hard cap, the excess is refunded and the hard cap is split into three pools:

• 10% Ideator Slot: the person who submitted the idea gets a guaranteed allocation (they must invest real funds, it's not free)
• 40% Pro Rata (open to everyone): distributed proportionally based on how much you committed
• 50% Tier-Weighted (partner token holders): distributed based on your tier

The Tier System

You don't need partner tokens to invest on Spark. But if a raise is oversubscribed, holding partner tokens gives you access to the tier-weighted pool (50% of the hard cap).

What matters is how many different partner tokens you hold above $100 each. Holding more than $100 of one token doesn't help, holding multiple tokens does.

Progressive Hard Cap

For the first idea launch, we'll accept up to 2x the minimum cap. We'll iterate from there based on how it goes. This can change, so follow our communications closely.
